Scientists are one step closer to creating artificial life: they have managed to replace the DNA of a living cell by man-made DNA and keep it running like nothing happened!
At the very least it shows us that we indeed understand DNA well enough to replicate it.

CVG is paying attention to EA trademark requests, which now feature three (1, 2, 3) items for the name “DARKSPORE”. CVG also warns us to not get too exited too soon, since this could well be another Wii or DS spin-off. Equally likely though, it is the name of Spore 2. Time will tell.
